Sandi is a National Board Certified educator with many years of experience as an elementary teacher making teaching and learning fun. She strongly believes teachers have a responsibility to instill in students the critical thinking skills they need for 21st century success. And, she is constantly developing new strategies and original materials for reaching each child’s needs, and sharing them with educators. Sandi’s the author of the book, Engineer Through the Year: 20 Turnkey STEM Projects to Intrigue, Inspire & Challenge.

I believe learning should be fun—especially in the primary classroom. During our action-packed day together, I’ll share with you tons of fun, hands-on centers, games, and activities that develop the necessary skills for helping today’s students get ready for tomorrow’s world. These are super-exciting activities. And super-easy to do. They’ll make learning and practicing thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills seem like child’s play. That’s my goal. And, I know it’s yours, too.

I invite you to spend a day with me exploring… giggling… and unpacking simple and effective ways to teach your young learners how to summarize, solve problems, compare, communicate, question… in other words, how to think! Believe it or not, there is a lot of overlap of expectations in all of the new goals and objectives being asked of students today. I’ll share with you how to quickly embed 10 essential skills your students nee for standardized assessment, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), 21st Century Learning (Problem-solving, Collaboration, Creativity & Communication), and Common Core success into your daily instruction. You’ll discover how to seamlessly fit them into your existing curriculum, plug them into your common classroom centers… and easily teach them in any and all subject areas!
