For over two decades, Staff Development for Educators (SDE) has served the professional development needs of schools, districts, and educators from across the country and around the world.
Founded in Peterborough, New Hampshire, in 1986 by Jim and Lillian Grant, SDE's original goal was to provide New England teachers the opportunity to learn the best techniques from the best teachers in the region. It was clear from the very first meeting—held in a school lunchroom in a tiny rural New Hampshire town—that Jim and Lillian's idea that “teachers learn best from other teachers” was not only revolutionary, it was right.
Today, SDE has grown to become one of America’s leading providers of professional development for PreK through Grade 12 educators. Each year, teachers and administrators across the country learn real-world strategies and practical classroom-proven techniques through our seminars, conferences, on-site consulting services, and on-line learning program. And, we remain committed to providing the most up-to-date, cutting-edge topics presented by some of the nation’s top authors and educational experts who know what it means to teach.
